Brainspotting certification and clinical consultation
Working with me
As a consultant, I offer a space for therapists, yoga teachers, and organizations to deepen their understanding of trauma, refine clinical decision making, and grow their voice as practitioners. I approach consultation much like I approach therapy, meeting you where you are with respect and care, while supporting both your skill development and your self-awareness.
As a Brainspotting Consultant, my role is to support you in integrating Brainspotting into your work in a way that feels natural and aligned. Drawing from somatic, attachment, and mindfulness-based approaches, I offer guidance, reflection, and thoughtful inquiry as you find your own way with the model.
In my consultation work with therapists, yoga teachers, and organizations, I offer a collaborative space to explore how trauma-informed principles can be applied in real time, whether that is within clinical sessions, yoga classes, or larger program development. This may include case consultation, navigating dynamics in the room, refining language and pacing, or supporting the thoughtful integration of trauma-sensitive practices.
Our work together is experiential and collaborative, with space to explore and room for both curiosity and joy as you grow in your work. I encourage curiosity, questions, and a willingness to sit with some uncertainty. Often, that is where deeper trust in your intuition begins to take shape. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, I aim to support you in developing a way of working that feels ethical, sustainable, and true to you.

The Brainspotting Certification process typically takes place over the course of six one-on-one consultation sessions with your chosen consultant. During this time, we’ll cover core Brainspotting concepts and work through your cases and clinical questions through a neuroexperiential lens. In addition, we will offer attention to your experience as the clinician and the unique gifts you bring.
Requirements for Certification:
Completion of Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2, plus one advanced training (Phase 3–5 or Master Class)
A minimum of six 1:1 consultation sessions
If you’ve only completed Phase 1, we can begin with two sessions and complete the rest after Phase 2
Additional sessions may be recommended depending on your needs
Completion of 50 Brainspotting sessions with clients (documented)
Submission of application, liability insurance, and Consultant Report
$150 certification fee paid to Brainspotting Trainings, LLC
Once you begin the certification process, all sessions are completed with the same consultant to support continuity and depth in your learning. If at any point you decide we are not the right fit, you’re welcome to transition to a different consultant, though the process would restart with them.

Clinical consultation can be a valuable support when you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or wanting to deepen your work with clients. I offer a collaborative space to think through cases, explore clinical decision making, and find a way forward that feels ethical and aligned with your values as a clinician.
Consultation is not the same as clinical supervision. While it can support your growth and development, it is not evaluative or tied to licensure requirements. The purpose of our work is to enhance client care, strengthen your clinical skills, and support you in navigating more complex cases through collaborative, non-judgmental dialogue.
My approach is rooted in somatic and trauma-informed work, drawing from Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, self-compassion, and trauma-sensitive yoga. Rather than focusing on technique alone, we’ll also spend time exploring what’s happening in the room, how to pace the work, and what may be unfolding for you as the clinician. This is a space to ask questions, reflect, and build trust in your clinical judgment.

Consultation for yoga teachers offers a space to explore how trauma-informed principles can be thoughtfully integrated into your teaching. Whether you’re a therapist curious about how to integrate trauma sensitive yoga principles into sessions, or a yoga teacher navigating complex dynamics in the room or wanting support with sequencing, this is a space to talk things through.
Together, we’ll look at how you’re holding space, pacing your classes, offering language and choice, and responding to what arises in real time. My approach is grounded in trauma-sensitive yoga, somatic work, and mindfulness, with an emphasis on safety, agency, and sustainability for both you and your students.
This work can support you in teaching in a way that feels clear, responsive, and aligned with your values, across a variety of settings.
